St. Clair College GET SKILLED Skills Competition Results

GECDSB technology teachers and their students competed in the GET SKILLED competition at St. Clair College this weekend!

Our technological education programs provide exceptional skill development and opportunities for our students to demonstrate their many talents. We are excited to announce that 16 GECDSB students received medals in the weekend's competitions!

Budget Consultation Scheduled

The 麻豆传媒 Essex County District School Board is preparing its budget for the 2024-25 school year.  Public consultation is an important component of the budget planning process.  With the Board facing an $8.9 million deficit for 2023-24, cost structures will require adjusting as the Board moves forward to the next school year.

Chef Adelina DeBlasis Takes Home Silver and Gold

Chef Adelina DeBlasis can now add Culinary Olympian to her growing resume. Last year, Adelina accepted the National Chef of the Year award from the Culinary Federation of Canada and she has recently returned from the IKA Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart with Canada鈥檚 Culinary Olympic Teams. She is also a teacher at P.A.S.S. Secondary School and is an instrumental part of the Community Kitchen Program.

A Chili Cookoff to Remember

GECDSB Administration Building staff took part in a competitive (and delicious) Chili Cookoff this month. Several volunteers made a variety of chili recipes for staff to sample and vote on. This event became more exciting when Oliver from Ford City Public School arrived to submit his chili recipe as a contender!

Roseville Public School has been selected by the to receive a daily nutritious lunch at no cost to families between February 20th and March 29th!
