Reporting SPAM and Phishing E-mails

Click the WaffleThe Phish Alert Button (PAB) is an add-in for Outlook that lets you quickly and easily report potential phishing emails.        

When clicking the Phish Alert Button, reported emails that are not simulated phishing tests will be forwarded to our Cyber Team to streamline reporting and allow a quick response to SPAM and Phishing

How to use the Phish Alert Button

To locate the Phish Alert Button (PAB) please see the instructions below specific to the Outlook client you are using.

Outlook Web Client

To Report a Phishing or SPAM email using Outlook in your browser: 

  • Load the message you wish to report.
  • In the body of the message, click the Apps Waffle

          Click the Waffle

  • Click the Phish Alert Icon.

          Click Phish Alert

  • A side bar will appear showing the email details you are reporting.
  • Select whether you want to report the email as Phish/Suspicious or as Spam

           Submitting with Phish Alert

  • Click the Submit Phish Alert button at the bottom to report the email.
Outlook Desktop Client
To Report a Phishing or SPAM email using Outlook Desktop Application:
  • Select the message you wish to report.
  • In the top Ribbon / Toolbar you will see the Phish Alert icon. Click the Waffle

        Click Phish Alert

  • Click the Phish Alert Report Icon.
  • A side bar will appear showing the email details you are reporting.
  • Select whether you want to report the email as Phish/Suspicious or as Spam

         Submitting with Phish Alert

  • Click the Submit Phish Alert button at the bottom to report the email.
Outlook Mobile App
To Report a Phishing or SPAM email using the Outlook App on your mobile phone:
  • Load and open the message you wish to report.
  • Tap the three dots to bring up the more actions menu.

          Tap three dots

  • Tap the Phish Alert icon.

          Tap Phish Alert

  • A window will appear showing the email details you are reporting.
  • Tap whether you want to report the email as Phish/Suspicious or as Spam

           Submitting with Phish Alert

  • Tap the Submit Phish Alert button at the bottom to report the email.
