Parent Council

Our Parent Council meets regularly during the school year to review current events at Margaret D Bennie and within the GECDSB, such as School Board priorities, policies, and procedures.  Our principal highlights how GECDSB Policies impact Margaret D Bennie School.  As an IB PYP World School, it is important for us to seek out parent and community voices.  Please consider joining these meetings.

Our Parent Council typically meets the last Thursday of every month.  We start at 5:30.  Our goal is to have the formal meeting completed by 6:30.  Note February 2023, the February meeting is March 2nd.

GEC Parent Involvement Committee

The 麻豆传媒 Essex County District School Board's 麻豆传媒 Essex County Parent Involvement Committee (GECPIC) [link to new Board site: GEC Parent Involvement Committee] seeks opportunities to improve communication between the school board and parents and guardians. The committee helps break down barriers to parent/guardian engagement and aims to improve the relationship between families and schools to support students' education and well-being.
