The Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) is a committee that works to improve the interests and well-being of children who are exceptional within the Â鶹´«Ã½ Essex County District School Board (GECDSB).

How to get involved

If you are interested in becoming a local association representative for the SEAC, fill out the SEAC Representative Application. Once completed, forward your application to Melissa Beaton, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Education and Special Education Services, at the address indicated on the application form.

How to nominate a person for SEAC

SEAC members are nominated by their local associations. Local associations can use the following form: SEAC Nomination Form.

When does the SEAC meet?

The SEAC meets ten times a year on every second Tuesday of the month from September to June. Meetings are held at the Board office on 451 Park Street West, Windsor. Meetings begin at 1 p.m.

Who is involved in the SEAC?

S.E.A.C. members include:

  • Board of trustee members
  • Local association representatives
